Orion
This part of the winter sky, featuring the constellations of Orion and Monoceros, is very rich in Ha emission nebulae. Note the giant bubble around Lambda Orionis (top right) and Barnard's Loop, which encircles much of Orion.   The image is a mosaic assembled from six exposures using the same technique developed for the Milky Way panorama. |
