Comet C/2006 A1 Pojmanski

Comet C/2006 A1 Pojmanski was discovered in January 2006 in the far southern constellation of Indus. There is little sign of a dust tail, but a nice, forked ion tail. The images were taken through red, green and blue filters in succession and later registered on the head of the comet. Due to the comet's rapid northward motion, the stars appear as short trails of the respective filter color.   The field of view is approx. 3.7 x 2.7 degrees.
